This year marks a unique line-up of four poet laureates in a festive setting! On Sunday, February 27, 2019, enjoy former Kentucky poet laureate George Ella Lyon, West Virginia’s current poet Marc Harshman, Cincinnati’s current poet laureate Manuel Iris, and finally, former poet laureate of Cincinnati, UACC Core steward Pauletta Hansel, who continues to serve as one of TMU’s artists-in-residence.
Weatherford Award winner and TMU artist-in-residence Richard Hague will introduce the event along TMU student poets involved in the Urban Appalachian Leadership Project. Music by Tellico, a three-generation Appalachian family band. Doors will open at 1:15 pm. Enjoy wine, cheese, appetizers. Local authors who attend are welcome to bring books for signing tables. Co-sponsored with TMU’s James Graham Brown Honors Program. Free & open to the public.
