Bio
As a poet. I write of Appalachian roots in family stories in the shadow of the Smokies. Additional locales—Ohio, Arizona, and countries beyond US borders—round out the art of places, Appalachia at its base. Additionally, Pauletta Hansel has given me the title of Honorary Cincinnati poet as all my writing classes, circles, readings, and associates have been in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for the last ten years.
I am the first Ohio-born child of Appalachian parents from Vonore, TN. I was born into Southern culture on Northern soil, and have discovered many of us in this once-unnamed, similar situation.
