Rabbit Hash String Band shares dance tunes and old-time songs inspired by fiddle bands such as the Skillet Lickers from early days of recording. We’re a foursome—Warren Waldron, fiddle; Russ Childers, clawhammer banjo; Judy Waldron, guitar; Barb Childers, banjo uke—with Russ and Judy calling traditional square dances!

For more than 20 years, our Appalachian old-time music plays the air waves on radio stations like WOBO (Batavia), as well as live broadcasts from WFPK (Louisville), WYSO (Yellow Springs), and Red Barn Radio (Lexington). Our band is a tri-state favorite at schools, libraries, festivals, and square dances of the region. We bring the "sounds of home" to the folks who share some time with us.
