Bio

Moneeca (MoPoetry) Phillips was born Middlesboro, Kentucky and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio most of her life. She graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2011 with a B.A. in English and a focus on Creative Writing. She is a poetry group facilitator and an active Board member with Women Writing for (a) Change in Cincinnati, OH. She is a spoken word artist, slam poet, and author of “Equals Greatness.” Her works have been published with SOS Arts “For a Better World 2019,” “The Voices Project,” and “Postcards from the Pandemic” by WordPress. In addition, she is the founder of Hit the Mic Cincy’s monthly open mic and co-founder of Regal Rhythms monthly Poetry Slam and Feature Event in Cincinnati, Ohio. She continues to impact the community and support other artists as she grows in her gift.
