SUMMARY:50th Annual Appalachian Festival
DESCRIPTION:Two of our Urban Appalachian Leadership Project Participants will present their work at the Annual Appalachian Festival on Sunday\, May 12th. Eliza Lehman and Lizzie Fahey have been working with mentor Pauletta Hansel on two separate creative writing activities\, and are pleased to have the opportunity to share during the Appalachian Community Development Association’s 50th Annual Appalachian Festival.  \nSunday\, May 12 \nStorytelling Stage (http://www.appalachianfestival.org/storytelling) \n1-1:15 pm: Voices From Montcoal: Monologue Responses to the Upper Big Branch Mine Disaster by Eliza Lehman\, Urban Appalachian Leadership Project Participant. \n2-2:15 pm Urban Appalachian Poetry from Oyler elementary and high school student read by Lizziey Fahey\, Urban Appalachian Leadership Project Participant. \nThe 50th Annual Appalachian Festival is held at Coney Island\, May 10-12\, rain or shine.
