John played with Carl and Buzzy Leming, Sam Leming, Russ and Barb Childers in the Leming Family String Band through the ‘80s and ‘90s at the Cincinnati Appalachian Festival. He and his brother Carl and younger brother Sammy were mainstays under the shade trees at Coney Island&#8217;s Appalachian Festival, fiddling and sharing stories. John&#8217;s fiddles all have such wonderful stories attached to them. We will miss his wide grin as he shared those tales.</p>
